 Hannah sat on a park bench, enjoying a cup of tea she'd bought from the nearest coffee shop. A chilly breeze blew by, making her zip up her jacket. She looked around at the surrounding, wondering if she'd see someone she knew.
Mom and I talking about my Kakashi beach towel
 
Mom: There ya go, make a shirt that says "I dry myself with Kakashi"
Me: ....... Eww...
Mom: *laughs* Oh, well, maybe not...

 "...oh, come on. You know you don't have a problem with what I do," he said. Fen crossed her arms and kept walking, rolling her eyes at the person next to her. He looked exactly like her brother Naddan, but she knew very well who he really was. "I do," she insisted, "and you need to stop!" As she loped along by her trainer's feet, Ruby the Vulpix looked up at Fen. Since she had the inadequate ears of a human, she probably didn't realize how loud her voice was at the moment.

 Hannah blinked a few times and glanced over at the rather loud trainer coming up the path. Once she got closer, Hannah recognized her. "Hey, don't I know you?" She inquired, narrowing her eyes a bit as she tried to place Fen.

 "I'm serious, I-" Fen paused. She looked over at the girl on the bench. She blinked. Ruby blinked. Ditto grinned.
"Hey, long time no see," he said, sliding on to the bench next to Hannah. Fen frowned, then her mouth dropped open as realization dawned on her. "...oh, you're..."

 "...demonic? That's a new one," Ditto muttered. "I mean, I've been called some things before, but demonic just sounds-" "...yes, I'm Fen," she said, taking Ditto's wrist and yanking him from the bench, where he fell in a heap on the ground. He found himself face to face with Ruby, who snickered.

 "Ah, that's great," said Fen, sounding very relieved. She sat on the bench, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. Ruby sat on the ground, looking up at them. "...you can sit too, Ruby," Fen smiled. The little Vulpix hopped up to sit on the other side of Hannah. She closed her eyes for a moment, and in her place sat a stunning young woman in a brilliant red dress. Opening her eyes, she met Hannah's and winked.

 The look on the young woman's face turned to one of indignant annoyance. "No, that's Ruby," Fen laughed. "She's pretty good with illusions, see?" She reached over to touch the girl, her fingers moving through her arm as if it wasn't there.

 "We're not strange, we're just eccentric," said Ruby's illusion in clear human speech. She stared down at her arm, where Fen's fingers had slid through. "You won't be able to do that after I evolve, you know. Ninetales illusions are the real deal." She glanced up at Hannah again. "...though I think I'm pretty good right now, don't you?"
