First of all, I wanna say, sorry if I'm going to sound a bit crazy below, just so you know, it's passed midnight here and I cannot stay up that late. I'm half asleep, so there. |D

But anyway. I was looking at the forums today, and thought; man, there aren't that many RPs anymore! I figured, of course, it was because of school 'n' all, so I didn't really mind it at first, but as I thought about it, it started to worry me. I don't really like it that PP's overall activity is going down, so I was starting to think that maybe we should hold a OOC or IC event of some sort. We haven't done the awards in a while, that I know of at least, and we haven't had very many IC events recently, either. Though, of course, I have considered that even if there is some sort of event started, maybe the activity won't get any better and the event will die. :/ Of course, I'm just voicing my opinion here, but I really do think that we should at least try to hold some sort of event. What kind, I dunno. Maybe some kind of obscure party in the forest or something. 8< Save the trees!!

...ahem. xD But, yeah. Any other ideas on this matter?

To be honest, I think the main problem is something rather... 'incurable'.

From what I've seen over the last few months, the general tone of many topics in the lounge have been on more mature subjects. Although this might sound weird, I think the reason the activity is going down is twofold; a) Many of our younger members are starting to 'grow up' and are therefore doing more things in real life, and b) our older members are now also getting more occupied (or already were occupied, mind you) with life in general, whether that be a job or *cough* a family.

I don't think the problem has anything to do with RP's or the content of PP, it's simply that the members themselves are finding less time to be participating. Ergo, there is nothing we can really do about it.

I don't know, it does seem like life is pulling us all away, but we still have time to get together in the IRC and talk, so we should still have time to RP. Honestly, I think one big IC event would be pretty cool. We haven't exactly used the Fairgrounds in what... a year? Don't fairs usually come by once a year? And if it was accompanied by a sitewide e-mail, it would probably be even more effective. Just my two cents.

To be honest this thing happens a lot during this period of the year because

a)Start of school/college/university. As cliche as it seems people generally want to do well to end up with the better grades and thus cannot spend much time here.

b)They've finished school and are now working for money and thus cannot spend time here.

Either way, it'll peter out at about christmas and people will begin spending time here. I have faith

Also, I myself haven't been spending so much time here, I need two "B" grades and a "C" grade to get into university and as such I've been working to improve (currently at BCD). Also, I'll get the WHY ARE YOU NOT HERE e-male ready.

the password protection goes away if you don't sign in for a while...it happened to Storm, too.

...and Miller's computer is broken at the moment, so, uh... >_<
