Miller stepped carefully through the rubble, thankful his boots had such thick, sturdy soles. Otherwise he'd surely have a nail sticking out of his foot right about now. Houndoom led the group carefully, his demon wings holding him just slightly above the ground as he sniffed for bombs. Whether or not he could actually smell a bomb in time, Miller had no idea, but he figured it was better than nothing. Behind him, Dragonite and Blastoise followed, looking about in awe. "You guys doin' alright back there?" He turned around to look at Rahara and Keith, making sure they were getting along well.

Rahara looked around at the devestated buildings. The rain was starting to ease up, Sandslash and Vaporeon followed next to him, trotting along at his pace.

"Ya, I'm doing alright back here." Rahara stopped at some rubble, seeing a piece of paper that had been burned down to a quarter. He pressed his right hand on the largest piece, and pushed it off, showing a broken spine fo a book and pages about as well off as the one in his hand. Nonetheless, he pulled it out of the rubble.

"It's almost impossible to read, but it's something. Is this good, Miller?"

Keith follows behind Rahara, getting slightly hungry and thirsty. "I really should have exercised more when I got the chance. I can hardly even walk this short distance without feeling a internal battle inside my stomach. Keith thought, cautiously steeping around the fragments of once important items and broken pieces of rock everywhere. Noticing the book, that he had almost grabbed before Rahara he cautiously glanced at the pages that Rahara looked through. "Can't make any of it out, damn." Keith thought, reaching to his side where his pokeball was, but now it wasn't there. In fact, about half of his belt looked like it was nibbled off.

"Uhhh...Miller? I um..sorta..lost my pokemon..." Keith said, nervously skipping around his words.He continued, "Unless you have seen my belt anywhere..It looks like it was bitten a bit.."

Miller leaned over from his digging spot to get a closer look at the book Rahara was holding. He had to take more than a few glances at it, before he tried to stifle a laugh. "Rahara, that book is about Mareeps in a Jeep. Good effort though..."

He paused, standing up carefully as Keith brought up his broken belt. "...Oh crap. Uh...well, I guess we should retrace our steps. Shouldn't be too hard to find, it's in a BlueFire PokeBall..." He stared out towards the direction they came, wondering how littered the path was with unseen explosives.

Rahara stared down at the book, eye twitching. He closed the book to see the cover, and noticed the tell-tale sign of a vehicle and the electric pokemon. He tossed it forward, letting it slosh in a puddle. He wiped the water off on his pant leg, and turned to both of them.

"Well, good to know I've discovered a kid's book." Rahara turned to Keith and Miller, and looked at Keith's belt. "We should probably find it quick. This place has an eerie feeling..."

Keith sighed, feeling his empty waist area of his pants. Not only was his only pokemon gone, but now his pants were hardly held up. Keith says, " Well. I couldn't have lost it too far back because I had it when I landed from Dragonite's back. It might be in here somewhere, but judging from the nibble marks it was intentional.."Keith, gazing around the area judging his surroundings. He continued, "Well, you guys gonna help or just stand around?"

"Yeah, let's get lookin'." Miller gestured to Houndoom to lead the way, knowing, once more, that the Pokemon was probably completely worthless for tracking. He stepped cautiously ahead, eyes scanning the rubble-covered ground in hopes of finding the PokeBall quickly.

Rahara gave a nod, and reaching to his belt he pulled out his Magneton's ball.

"I think this guy will help out a lot all things considered." Rahara tossed the ball into the air, watching it open and spit out the flying magnet pokemon. Sparks shot from its body every time a drop of water hit it. "Magneton, see if you can't find Keith's pokeball."

The Magneton did a chorus of sound, before a light buzz filled the air. All of a sudden, Magneton's eye blinked, and electricity poured over its body. Two arcs of lightning shot from it. One came from about a half dozen yards from Miller and Keith. The other came in the opposite direction. Magneton fryed andfell to the ground in a smoking husk. Rahara looked over to where the bolt of lightning originated from closest to him, and ran over. It was amongst the rubble, but it was hard to miss. The stone he wasn't necessarily glowing, more like teeming with energy.

"Not to put looking for your pokemon on hold, but look at what I found!" Rahara nodded for his Vaporeon to stay close to the stone they could find it, and ran over to his Magneton to inspect it further.

Keith looked at the flying sparks and rubble all around. Noticing Rahara's find he quickly paced over to where Rahara was pointing cautiously looking. There seemed to be a bit of a faint glow around all the rubble that he couldn't quite make out. "Well...what is it?" He quietly muttered, gesturing at the glowing beneath the rubble. Feeling his belt to quick throw his pokemon down he forgot it was 'stolen', and returned his hands to his pockets waiting for them to grab the stone.

Miller squatted down near the source of the glow, peering curiously at the stone in question. "...It's obviously something important, but...somehow I wonder if I should just reach out and grab it all haphazardly..."

Rahara looked at it beside Miller and Keith. He raised his right arm.

"I think I have the best chance of grabbing it, since mine isn't organic in a conventional sense." Rahara outstretched his bionic fingers, slowly letting his hand go towards the glowing crystal. His hand neared it, and a spark shot from it, streaming up his arm. It didn't hurt, but it made him a little more cautious. He tried once more, this time touching it. As soon as it touched the metal, the rock exploded with light, shooting a lightning bolt up his arm and out his back, spilling blood across the ground where it exitted.

"Ffffffffff-!!" He said, falling back. His right arm was glowing the same color as it, while it melted around his arm. After a couple seconds, it slowly healed itself back to normal, but blood still spurted from the broken skin. He was still grasping the stone, though.

" I don't know about you two, but I'm afraid to let go of it now."

Keith looked down at the rock curiously, as blood spilled from Raharas back he jumped back. The rock seemed to be glowing silently in Raharas hand, and he was afraid to even get to close to it. Gesturing his hand to drop the rock he remarked, "Maybe you should let it go..I don't think we need any mystical rocks on our journey. Quite frankly, that things scaring me a bit.."

Keith turned around and placed his hands on his hips, and spotted a red and white circle in the distance. He moved him self away from the rubble of rocks, and quickly dashed over towards a cave of rubble in the distance. Watching as his pokeball rolled down stairs he caught up his pace and ran down them quickly. Before he knew it he was lost. Keith had made a few turns in pitch black, following the shine of his pokeball to lead him. The air grew very cold, and the dripping of water off of the loose pipes above him was heard. All he could mutter was, "Shit.."

Miller, while checking to see if Rahara was okay, completely lost track of Keith and didn't see him run off. Imagine his surprise when a few moments later, he turned around and Keith was nowhere to be seen. "..." He carefully stepped to the side and looked around, before sighing. "...I hope you saw where he went..." He glanced up to the sky, as it seemed to grow darker and a little bit more ominous.

(( This will probably be my last post in this thread before the next section is posted. I think we're at a very good, suspenseful spot. I'll post the next piece after you guys post. ))

Rahara stood up, feeling very drained. His right hand clenched the strange rock. He shut his eyes, and formed three of his black spiral wings. The area around the flesh that blew off slowly began to regenerate around the wings.

"No, I was too busy not throwing up my insides." He looks around the area, trying to find where he could've went. He heard a roaring thunder in the skies and looked up.

"I don't remember it being that dark..."

Between the sudden, ear-splitting explosion, the waves crashing on the shore, and the scraping of rubble against rubble, Miller became even more concerned, both for Keith's whereabouts and Nick, Alex, and Naddan. "...Rahara...I don't know what just happened, but...I'm gonna leave my Pokemon here with you. I've got to find the others real quick...look for Keith if you can." He jogged off near the shore, thinking that was probably where the commotion came from.

Rahara rocked with the explosion, watching from the shore as it sprayed into a fine mist. He thought, maybe, just maybe there was talking from a distance. But it could've been anything.

Rahara took his pokeballs without much hesitation. He wrapped the belt around his waist so they sat snug on top of his other belt. He reached around for a pokeball, and satisfied with his two choices, tossed them out.

A Sandslash hopped out, its spikes a dull sheen due to overcast. And beside it was Jolteon, sparks arcing off its body.

"I know you two haven't seen a lot of work lately, but we need to find Keith. Can either of you pick up a feint scent?" Both pokemon sniffed the air curiously. After a few seconds, they both shook their head. "That isn't good..."

A slender, feminine figure skipped towards Rahara. She made no effort to introduce herself or warn him, instead she just hopped right up to him and wrapped her arms around his neck, kissing him very deeply upon the mouth. She then tore herself away and drew back her fist, punching him in the face as hard as possible.

"Don't be a pervert! You don't even know my name yet! It's Storm, by the way." She giggled and watched Rahara closely, as though enamored.

Rahara blinked, getting a big smooch on the lips, and then a kiss on his nose that had almost broken it. Rahara stumbled back, gripping his hand with his normal hand.

"My name is Rahara, it's nice to meet you, I guess." Rahara straightened up, rubbing his nose back and forth. "Quite an arm you got there. Might I ask why you're using it all the way out here?"

Storm surveyed the destruction with faint confusion. What the... Shifting uneasily from foot to foot as she hesitated at the brink of the chaos, she checked her belt to make sure the black Poke Balls were secure at her waist. I should release Diderot, in case anything goes down in the next five seconds, common sense reasoned, but she made no move to grasp the Umbreon's container. Instead, she carefully picked her way over a crumbled something-or-other, perplexed.

What in the world have I missed? It seemed that while she spent her days in seclusion, the rest of the world was still moving. Voices pitched on the wind and stole her attention; spying the library and detecting faint movement in the distance, she warily approached it. She paused a few feet away from a random pair."Um, hello?" she greeted tentatively.

'Storm' spotted ... Storm, and upon hearing her greeting, immediately jumped at her, kissing her in much the same manner that she did Rahara. When she finally pulled back from her, she refrained from punching her, instead skipping off in the middle of the two people. "It's so nice to make new friends!" Upon closer inspection, the woman bore an eerily similar resemblance to Storm.
