Many people were bustling about the park, chatting, playing with their children. Nicholas, however, sat on one of the benches with his head leaned against the back of it. He was trying to make shapes out of the clouds above, but really was having no luck. With a sigh he sat up and looked down at his watch; only twelve in the afternoon, and his mom had demanded he stay out of the house all say.

Heaving a sigh, he turned it off and slipped it into his pocket, turning into the park. I could use some outdoors time. I've been thinking about Nick too m- He stopped, staring straight ahead. Wouldn't you know it, the person in the world he both most and least wanted to see right then. He briefly contemplated turning around to avoid further injury. However, he couldn't help but wonder if maybe Nick missed him too. After a bit of deliberating, he walked over to the boy and sat down on the bench next to him.
